The Main Street Stage started its history in 1941 when it housed a 400 seat movie theater, a barber shop and a Dairy Bar. After an extensive remode, Lyric Arts Main Street Stage opened its doors in January 2001. Eight years later, the Lyric Arts Company of Anoka is still going strong with productions such as The Sound of Music, Miracle on 34th Street, Lilies of the Field, and Meet Me in St. Louis.
