On the biggest night in the history of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, world-famous tenor Tito Morelli is to perform Otello, his greatest role. Through a hilarious series of mishaps, the star is believed to be dead and the General Manager’s assistant is convinced to go on in his place. Everything goes well until Tito comes “back to life” and wants to perform! Doors slam, tempers flare, and heads may roll, but laughter and love prevail in this quirky comedy about a day in life of an opera gone wrong. With seven Tony Award nominations, Lend Me a Tenor, is a hilarious comic farce of desperate measures and mistaken identities.

An affectionate salute to the Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson’s The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize—this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic, and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best.
