MEN NEEDED AT LYRIC ARTS FOR MULTIPLE ROLES

Lyric Arts is seeking men to play some specific roles in CONEY ISLAND CHRISTMAS and SUPERIOR DONUTS as part of the 2017–2018 season. You can read more about these two productions on our website at www.lyricarts.org/productions.

CONEY ISLAND CHRISTMAS (runs Nov 17-Dec 17; first rehearsal on Oct 3)

Seeking multiple male actors aged 17-28 to portray sixth grade students. Although the students are cast with adult actors, they should be youthful enough to be plausible as a group of 12-year olds, and it is important that the ensemble captures the ‘essence’ of being children without ‘doing’ children.

Actors will need to have a playful sense of engagement while actively contributing to the ensemble dynamic of the students.

Actors should be under 6’ tall. Actors of all ethnicities are STRONGLY encouraged to submit.

SUPERIOR DONUTS (runs Jan 12-28; first rehearsal on Nov 20)

OFFICER JAMES BAILEY: 43 years old. African-American. A good cop and a Star Trek superfan. Tough, but with a heart.

Please submit your headshot, resume, and potential conflicts to info@lyricarts.org ASAP. Please also include the word “CASTING” in the subject header, along with the show and/or role in which you are interested. Stipend paid.
