Kate is delighted to be back at Lyric Arts for this benefit performance—especially with a musical partner like Louis Berg-Arnold. Most recently, Kate was seen on our stage in Always... Patsy Cline after her previous appearances in Urinetown The Musical, Young Frankenstein, and RENT. Other recent credits include Gyspy and Into The Woods (Theater Latte Da), The Sound of Music (The Ordway), Always... Patsy Cline and Urinetown The Musical (Daleko Arts), and The Good Person of Szechwan (Frank Theatre). Kate has also been a recurring guest on National Public Radio's A Prairie Home Companion since 2010. Kate is a proud graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Music Theater.
As our Resident Music Director, Louis is thrilled to be a part of this year's benefit performance alongside Kate Beahen. He returns after his most recent project, She Loves Me, his second show this season after Always... Patsy Cline. She Loves Me marks his seventh production with Lyric Arts and his second season as Resident Music Director. He has worked as a music director for various theater companies throughout Minnesota and southern Florida. Louis currently serves as the pianist for the Bemidji Alumni Choir, as has performed as a pianist, organist, violist, and vocalist with various classical music ensembles across the country, including the Berkeley Symphony. Louis would like to thank his husband, Andrew, for all his love and support.
