Spread your performing wings! Our Big Kids classes focus on building a strong foundation for young people in the many aspects of theater and performance. We use games and playful exercises to encourage creativity, build confidence, and foster ways to work together as a group.
Big Kids will learn playful new ways to channel their creativity, express themselves artistically, and all levels of experience welcome!
Kidz Bop Cabaret
Love to pop, rock, and bop? Join us for this workshop as we move and groove through the wildly popular Kidz Bop albums and create a clever cabaret full of kid-friendly versions of current Top 40 hits. Young actors learn fundamentals of musical theatre – strong voices, expressive movement, and character creation – while building self-confidence and cooperation skills.

Dancing Through the Decades
Get ready to move and groove through the hottest moves of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s in this musical adventure. No dance experience is necessary for this fun and relaxed trip through time. Students will gain self-confidence and increase their skills as performers and dancers.

What does it mean when as actor talks about his “blocking”, or if the director tells you to move “upstage”? Have you ever wondered how an actor can leave on one side of the stage, and then enter on the other side moments later? This workshop will teach students the fundamental parts of theatre, all while having a great time!

Back by popular demand! In this American Girl summer camp, kids will use their creativity to help make their favorite American Girl come to life! Students will learn how to work together using acting skills such as strong vocal expression, creative movement, and staging, while rehearsing scenes from these beloved books.

LYRIC ARTS ACADEMY SUMMER CAMPS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
Each week of camp at URBAN AIR ADVENTURE PARK, students will have an hour of play on the park equipment, and then use their imaginations to create and play around the theme of the week. Each day is a chance to explore and discover the confines of Urban Air, all leading to a special presentation for family and friends at the end of the week.
