Our Big Kids workshops focus on building a strong foundation for young people in the many aspects of theater performance, singing, dancing, and even design. Students start the foundation for good performance practices and techniques through games and exercises.

Big Kids learn that, just like any sport or subject in school, performing on stage requires studying and practicing the right way in order to get the most out of their creativity and imaginations.

Acting Out 1: Designed for young students that love to tell stories to teach them the basic theater skills to be successful telling those stories on the stage. Classes include focusing on introductions to performance skills like comedy or improvisation and also theater design skills.

Musical Theater 1: For students new to musical theater and for those continuing to improve their singing and dance skills. Musical Theater 1 helps the young performer build confidence by teaching popular musical songs and group dances. 12 week workshops include portions of singing, dancing, and acting classes while 6 to 8 week workshops focus on one particular musical theater “triple threat.”

Musical Theater 1: Big Show Tunes

This spring, our Musical Theater 1 series will focus on song and dance numbers from some of the biggest musicals in history! From Annie to Godspell to High School Musical to Into the Woods, students will learn how to be a featured performer while also being a strong ensemble. The Musical Theater 1 series is great for students new to musical theater and also fantastic for more experienced students who would like to continue to build their performance skills.

Tuesdays, MAR 20 - JUN 5 from 4:45 pm - 6:15 pm
