Today is the first day of tech for Over the Tavern. For those of you who do not know what tech is, I will explain the basics. Tech week, for Lyric Arts, is the week prior to when a show opens. Up until this time the cast, director, and stage manager have been busy getting the show down. Now the tech staff (lights, set, costumes, props) comes to the rehearsals and implements their area of design. We will be running the show as if we were in performance. This is also a time when we iron out all of the kinks of the show. Stay tuned for more info. As far as the set, Patrick installed the partitions to signify the windows in the apartment. Also the overhead lights have been installed.
