Guess who got engaged!

Lyric Arts is thrilled to announce the engagement of Wade Fields and Shana Eisenberg who play, respectively, "Natalie's Daddy, Jim Haller" and "Miss Sandra" in our summer production of All Shook Up. (Click here for video)

After the final number of the show, in front of a sold-out house (partially filled with Wade and Shana's friends and family), Wade announced to the crowd that because they were such a fantastic audience they would receive a "bonus scene."  The unscripted moment was a surprise to not only Shana but the rest of the cast, too.

After serenading her with Elvis' own "It's Now or Never," Wade got down on one knee, pulled a ring from his pocket, and asked Shana (who, coincidentally, was wearing a wedding dress) if she would do him the honor of becoming his wife.  To the delight of the audience and the rest of the cast, amid a standing ovation, a tearful Shana accepted.

The two had been dating for three and a half years after meeting while acting in a production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers .  Shana explained, "I was his bride and he was my brother; who knew I would end up being proposed to onstage?"

Wade had been planning the engagement for nine months. “When we received our parts in All Shook Up, I knew this would be the perfect setting to ask Shana to marry me,” commented Fields. Shana was in complete shock by the onstage proposal, but said “I can’t think of a better way to be proposed to than on stage with all of our friends and family in the audience…it was a very special moment.”

Lyric Arts was thrilled to be a part of the surprise proposal, the first on the Main Street Stage!  We wish them uncountable years of happily married bliss and hope that they spend many of them sharing their gifts with us on the Main Street Stage!

Come and see Shana and Wade perform in All Shook Up now until August 1 at Lyric Arts Main Street Stage. For tickets visit or call the Lyric Arts Box Office at 763-422-1838.
