Lyric Arts had a chance to interview Ceanna Starr, who is performing as Snow White in The Further Adventures of Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective. Read on to hear what she has to say about her experience thus far. LA: Tell us a little bit about why this particular play interested you?
CS: I have always loves Fairy Tales and I knew it would be fun to reenact some.
LA: For those that are unfamiliar with The Further Adventures of Nick Tickle Fairy Tale Detective can you tell us about the show?
CS: Nick Tickle is a fun fairy tale story with a mystery plot that turns into an amazing adventure of new friendship and old friends from the fairy tales past.
LA: Talk about the character(s) that you play in The Further Adventures of Nick Tickle Fairy Tale Detective. How have you developed this character?
CS: I am casted as the ever lovely Snow White. She is kinda dingy but soft-hearted and fun and easy going. I love to please and be helpful but that gets me in a little trouble. At the end I get a pleasant surprise wake up call and end up very happy.
LA: Talk about your fellow cast members, how do you see their characters developing? Any that you are particularly amazed at?
CS: I love all the characters in Nick. Nick is amazing at his part, he is confident and really adds to the story and a course my Prince Charming well he is very handsome and kind.
LA: What do you feel are the "wow" elements of The Further Adventures of Nick Tickle Fairy Tale Detective?
CS: I think the Wow factor of the show is the different styles of acting coming together to make this show fun, exciting, and a mystery you actually want to help solve.
LA: Tell us what is something that you are particular excited about this show coming to together? For example, a certain scene, costumes, set, lights, etc?
CS: I am excited about my much anticipated scene of the big death and how I survive in a fairy tale ending.
LA: What is your favorite fairy tale?
CS: Snow White a course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LA: What is your favorite thing to do around the holidays?
CS: I love to spend time with my family and go snowboarding when I don’t have practice.
LA: To date what is your favorite role that you have played and why?
CS: I was Annie when I was 10 and it was a big role and a lot of work but it taught me so much. I love acting and each role has its benefits and I feel very blessed to have had each one.
LA: What is your dream character to play on stage?
CS: My dream is to work as a Disney Character at Euro Disney (yes I have been there) or on a Disney Cruise Ship. I would love to be Ariel from the Little Mermaid.
LA: Please tell us a little bit about yourself?
CS: I am 14 and have been in 5 plays. I love to sing, dance, and act, but also have played soccer for 10 yrs. I go to St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artist in the Musical Theatre Track. I have 5 siblings three are adopted special needs and a biological brother and sister. On my time off I love to travel and go snowboarding.
LA: Any other area that you would like to comment on?
CS: This is my first show with Lyric Arts of Anoka and I would love to encourage you to come see our show as well as the many others they offer. Take classes if your interested in theatre and always follow your dreams.
