I commit my time and energy to Lyric Arts because I know that theater enriches life. Lyric Arts provides high-quality theater to our community.
— Olivia Bastian, Chair
My mother founded Lyric Arts as a non-profit community theater 20 years ago. Every day, I am proud of and inspired by her, and by all of the countless other staff members, volunteers, actors, musicians, artists who have helped Lyric Arts grow and evolve into the incredible theater it is today! As a community member, I am so grateful that we have this lovely jewel here in the Northwest ‘burbs.
— Julia, Schmidt, Vice Chair
My family has been involved with Lyric Arts since the Pocket Theater days in the 90’s. I continue to support the theater because it inspires, educates, and entertains like no other entity in the north suburban area.

I have always loved going to theaters and decided to start one myself. It originally started with the Pocket Theater on Johnson Street, but when it became a huge success, we moved to the old movie theater in downtown Anoka, which is now home to Lyric Arts Main Street Stage.
