Mission & Philosophy

The Lyric Arts Education Department is a safe and supportive environment in our community and for our community that welcomes people of all ages, cultures, and experience to explore and grow artistically. Our artistic home is your artistic home whether still in school or out working in the world.

Friendly and professional teaching artists guide a diverse selection of education programs. We value that each class is an opportunity for artistic and individual growth with an emphasis on process over product. Each performance, workshop, master class - every opportunity a student and experienced teaching artist meet - is also a chance to build our community and grow beyond our walls. We hope to inspire, to challenge, and most importantly, to provide a playful and fun-filled experience.

If you have any general questions concerning our education program, registration or upcoming workshops please contact Education Director Adrian Lopez-Balbontin at 763-233-0804 or by email at adrian@lyricarts.org. The education office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
