For Teachers and Schools
See a Show
Since 1999, Lyric Arts Company has provided high-quality theatrical experiences for school groups with School Day Matinee performances of our “Mainly for Kids” productions. These selections are specifically designed to entertain students while introducing them to the performing arts and classic storytelling.
School Day Matinees are made available to school groups (including home school and day care groups) of ten or more at the special price of $8 per ticket. Plus, teachers receive one free ticket with every 12 student tickets reserved.

Tour & Workshop Combo
Bring your classroom to Lyric Arts for a backstage tour and hands-on theater workshops! Students get a full tour of the theater (stage, backstage, makeup & dressing rooms, scene shop and costume shop) led by a Lyric Arts staff member. Our improvisation and musical theater workshops are a highly interactive, engaging way to introduce all ages to the world of theater.
Fees are $4/student and we can accommodate up to 100 students per 2-hour visit. Teachers, adult chaperones, and bus drivers are free.
Each school may choose from the following (subject to availability):

During the school year, homeschool families and co-ops can take advantage of theatrical education at the Lyric Arts Main Street Stage! Young actors build important real-life social skills like cooperation, creative problem-solving, and leadership while learning more about theatrical terminology and the artistic process of rehearsal and performance.
Lyric Arts will design a workshop or series of workshops to meet the needs and interests of your students (ages 2 and up). We’ll work with you to custom-tailor a program that works with your schedule and learning goals. We’ll provide the teaching artist, classroom and/or performance space, and all materials – including access to our sets, costumes, props, lights and more!
