Volunteer hours are tracked and added up every season starting with the Volunteer Kickoff event in August and continuing throughout the year until the final One-Act plays.
This past 2008-2009 season, Lyric Arts welcomed eight volunteers to the Century Club! These dedicated individuals volunteered more than 100 hours of their time. Each volunteer received either a name tag or pin and they were all nominated for our ‘Lyric Arts Volunteer of the Year.’

Bob Ceminsky
Bob has been volunteering at Lyric Arts for many years. However, this was his first year to volunteer over 100 hours. You will find Bob and his wife, Jan, volunteering during every opening performance. In addition, he jumps in and helps with the Lyric Arts’ annual silent auction and other special events.

Pat Dowdell
This was Pat’s first year volunteering at Lyric Arts and she already managed to put in 100 hours. Pat earned her hours by taking trips outside of the theater to pick up items for Lyric Arts’ annual silent auction, working at auditions, and volunteering in the wine bar serving coffee or wine during every show.

Gerry Friday
This was Gerry’s second consecutive year acheiving over 100 volunteer hours at Lyric Arts. She received a Presidential Pin, a certificate, and a signed letter from President Obama. Gerry has earned her hours by working every Sunday in whatever job needed. She was the 2007-2008 season ‘Volunteer of theYear’.

Jim Holtmeier
Jim has served as the House Manager for Lyric Arts since 2008. He first began many years ago, volunteering with his wife, Cathy. Jim has consistently volunteered every Saturday night for every show. He also helps out during Lyric Arts’ special events.

Bruce Humphrys

Bruce Morrill
Bruce is an Anoka resident who discovered Lyric Arts quite recently. He has volunteered for almost every show during every performance. This was only his first year, but he earned over 150 hours during the 2008-2009 season.

Pat Richards
This was Pat’s second year acheiving over 100 hours. She earned the Presidential Pin, certificate, and letter from President Obama. Pat helps with almost all the volunteer jobs that are available including; house managing, lead ushering, special events, and wine bar.

Sharon Welch
This was Sharon’s second year to receive over 100 volunteer hours. She received a Presidental pin, certificate, and letter from President Obama. Sharon works ‘front of house’ volunteer jobs including House Manager and Lead Usher. She even helps with mailings, street team delivery/pickup, and special events.
These eight individuals have truly made a tremendous accomplishment in joining the Century Club. Please give them kudos in the comment box below!

Thanks to all of you – what you do behind the scenes and in the lobby makes what I do on stage possible! I appreciate the support and help I’ve gotten from all of you in my three (soon to be four) shows at Lyric Arts.
regards,

Great job, all of you.
