Teaching Artist Hannah Weinberg and students from "The Wiggles" Workshop, 2015

Our Little Kids program offers young children an opportunity to try out the world of theater. Students will build self-confidence, learn how to use their imagination and creativity to tell stories, and explore the arts through dramatic play.  In our STORYtheater workshops, we work with our students to create their own modest, unique stage adaptations of picture books.  Students in our Skills & Craft workshops dig a little deeper into fundamental artistic skills such as using tools and materials imaginatively or learning how to take creative risks.  Our workshops are welcoming and supportive to kids with all levels of experience, whether it's their first time in a theater class or they've been singing and dancing all their young life!

Silverstein’s World

Families today still enjoy Shel Silverstein’s whimsical poems looking at life from unexpected angles. The stories, full of spirit and merriment, are also filled with compassion and morality. This workshop will pick some of the best, and each students’ favorite, and turn them into live recreations.

DATES/TIMES: Tuesdays, Mar 21 - Apr 18 from 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm

COST: $80

Dahl’s World

This workshop explores recreating scenes, characters, and themes from one of the great children’s authors of the 20th century, Roald Dahl. Students will take on characters and create a story that might even cross the lands of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, Matilda and more.

DATES/TIMES: Tuesdays, Apr 25 - May 23 from 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm

COST: $80

Moovin & Groovin

Just like it sounds, Moovin and Groovin is a fun-filled, action-packed time where students will become more comfortable moving in their bodies and get exercise while dancing to some fun, upbeat, and kid-friendly chart-topping tunes!

DATES/TIMES: Saturdays, Apr 22 - May 20 from 9:00 am - 10:15 pm

COST: $80
