About Director Christine Karki

Christine is delighted to be back after directing The Boy Friend and Meet Me in St. Louis for Lyric Arts! A professional actor in the Twin Cities for over 10 years, Chris has had the pleasure of performing with Hey City Theater (Tony n Tina’s Wedding), Park Square Theatre (Side Show), The Great American History Theatre (The Christmas Schooner, Summer in the Shadows), Troupe America (A Christmas Carol- nat’l tour), Commonweal Theatre Company (Zombies from the Beyond), St. Croix Festival Theatre (Little Shop of Horrors, Lucky Stiff), Minnesota Festival Theater (Crimes of the Heart), Front Porch Theatre (Seussical: The Musical), Ensemble Productions (The Eight: Reindeer Monologues) and Minneapolis Musical Theatre (Bat Boy: The Musical, Applause, The Who’s Tommy, Zombie Prom, Jerry Springer: The Opera).

Chris is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in English and theater arts and a teaching license in both subjects. She’s taught with StageCoach Theatre Arts and seven seasons with St. Paul Academy’s Artward Bound program. She’s also worked as the Education Coordinator for the Sabes Jewish Community Center and as the Curriculum Manager with the Guthrie Theater.
