Artistic Staff

Scott Ford, Director

Scott has performed and directed in this area for over 20 years.  Cat on a Hot Tin Roof marks the third show Scott has directed for Lyric Arts.  He also directed Doubt: A Parable in 2009 and Over the River and Through the Woods in 2008.  He is very happy to be back.

Scott earned his MA from Illinois State University and received additional graduate training in Theatre at NYU, the University of London and the University of Minnesota. He taught at Bradley University in Illinois and Minnesota State University at Mankato before taking his current position as a Teaching Professor in Theatre and Speech at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.  He has directed more than 25 productions for the college including Hormel Girls, Noises Off, Twelfth Night, The Crucible and The Elephant Man. He was also a founding member of and has directed shows for Plymouth Community Theatre.

In addition to teaching, directing and performing, Scott is a voice talent for Radio Talking Books, a program of the MN State Services for the Blind.

Todd Edwards, Set Designer

Todd is happy to be returning to Lyric Arts where he recently designed scenery for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS in 2009.  His work was most recently seen in SYLVIA at the Chameleon Theatre Circle and St. Olaf College’s production of ASSASSINS.  He will be making his design début with Frank Theatre in September with ECLIPSED.  He has an MFA in Theatrical Design and Production, having designed scenery, lighting and sound for more than 130 productions nationally and internationally. His work has been seen locally at the MN Fringe, Commonweal Theatre, Chameleon Theatre Circle, MN Shakespeare Festival, St. Olaf College, Northfield Arts Guild (NAG) and Starting Gate.

Todd is also a Fight Director and member of the Society of American Fight Directors having just served as the Fight Director for ROMEO AND JULIET for the NAG’s Shakespeare in the park. In addition to his freelance work, Todd is the Technical Director and member of the Design/Tech faculty at St. Olaf College.
