
About Director Cheryl Moore Brinkley
Cheryl Moore Brinkley (AEA, AFTRA, SAG, and MOM) received her BFA in Drama/Speech from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY (Summa cum Laude ’75), and furthered her training with June Helmers (SUNY, Purchase), Rosemarie Tichler (NY Public Theatre) and Jane Brody. Since 1974, she has worked as a professional actor in theatre, TV commercials, print, live industrials and corporate videos. Major Midwest acting credits include the 1993 Guthrie acting company and the ’90-’95 St. Croix Festival Theatre core company. Cheryl is also a theatrical director and has experience in casting and commercial production. In the Twin Cities, Cheryl has taught at the Guthrie, Plaza-3, Twin Cities Vocal Arts, MN Conservatory, Acting for Lawyers, Akerlind Steele, and Brave New Institute. In 1990, drawing upon her theatre training and experience, she developed her own method of teaching spoken voice skills, Brinkley Vocal Power, and expanded to include providing voice and performance instruction to the business community, becoming B. VOCAL in 1999. Cheryl serves as adjunct faculty at Macalester College, teaching acting and voice since 2001.
