Cristopher Tibbetts is pleased to return to Lyric Arts, where he directed “Visitor from Hollywood” as part of Plaza Suite last summer. He is the Artistic Director of Workhouse Theatre Company in Minneapolis, where he directed productions of House and No Exit. Cristopher’s work as an actor, director, playwright and performance teacher has been seen in theaters and schools around the world.
He recently directed Light Up the Sky, as well as Quilters, The Shadow Box, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Oliver!, The Curious Savage, The Mousetrap, and the Minnesota premiere of John and Jen, named one of Lavender Magazine‘s Top 10 Productions of 2000. As an actor, Cristopher has enjoyed a wide variety of roles, from Beanie in the world premieres of Beanie and the Bamboozling Book Machine and Wizard of Bamboozlement (both of which were written for him) and King Sextimus in Once Upon a Mattress, to Polonius in Hamlet and Duncan and the Porter in Macbeth.
Cristopher is the co-author of the plays Beanie and the Bamboozling Book Machine, The Andrew Is Dead Story, an original adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk, The Wizard of Progress, and the author of the play How Tonight Goes.
