Lyric Arts is a community theater that provides opportunities for actors of all ages to take part in the performing arts. This spring, Lyric Arts’ production of “Oliver!” has provided roles for 25 young people (aged 6 to 15) to play orphans in the show at no financial cost to them in the manner of activity or participation fees. Participating in the performing arts teaches young people how work toward a common goal as part of a multi-generational team. Besides being a lot of fun, it also sparks creativity and raises self-confidence.
However, producing a show like “Oliver!” and providing these sorts of opportunities for young people costs a lot of money…over $15,000, to be honest. So, we are looking to you to help us defray that cost.
Please consider sponsoring one of our “orphans” for just $17.50 per performance (or only $52.50 for an entire weekend!). Your tax-deductible donation will pay for his or her share of the cost of royalties, music, scripts, costumes, props, special effects, sound, lights, sets, and even programs.
Not only will you receive Lyric Arts’ appreciation and the satisfaction that comes from providing a performing arts opportunity for a child, but you will also receive a hand-written thank you note from the orphan you choose to sponsor.
67 total sponsorships to date as of March 23, 3:45 p.m. ($1,175.00 raised!):
