From the Director
Silent Sky is a play based on the true story of Henrietta Leavitt and her female co-workers who, in a time when women were not particularly welcomed into the scientific community, fought to understand our relationship to the universe.  These brilliant and feisty women understood that to unravel the mysteries of the universe was to better know the human heart and mind as well.  A celebration of both scientific exploration and human connection, Silent Sky is a sparkling and thought provoking work written by one of the strongest female voices writing in theatre today.
