This play contains obscene and offensive language; perhaps some of the strongest this season–see the list below for details.
*ss/*ssh*le: spoken 5 times
B*st*rd: spoken 3 times
B*tch: spoken once
F*gg*t: spoken once
F*ck/F*ck*ng: spoken 21 times
G*d/G*dd*mn: spoken 10 times

Sh*t/B*llsh*t: spoken 13 times
There are also a couple of remarks made by characters that are demeaning to Africans.
Overall, the show is very physical, as the four adults become violent with each other. It is referenced that two young boys physically fought with a stick. There are two cases of onstage vomiting. Multiple household items are thrown. Various weapons are referred to in conversation. Characters are tackled, choked, and abused by each other.
Despite God of Carnage's obscene and physical nature, the play is suprisingly free of innuendos, kisses, and sexual acts. Affectionate (and absurd) pet names are discussed and mocked.
Drinking, Drugs, and Smoking
As their discussion devolves into chaos, the adults consume entire bottles of rum, which only worsens the situation they put themselves in. There is also talk about cigars and smoking.
What Families Can Talk About...
God of Carnage provides families with a good opportunity to discuss the cyclical nature of violence and anger, the consequences of bullying, and the importance (and struggle) for civility.
