Work Policies and Procedures
There are four easy ways to register for a workshop
Online: Click the red button in the right column to complete your registration online.
Mail: Download our registration form and send a completed form plus a check or credit card information to: Lyric Arts Main Street Stage, 420 E. Main St., Anoka, MN 55303.
Phone: Call our Education Director, Adrian Lopez-Balbontin, at 763.233.0804 and pay by credit card over the phone Monday – Friday, 10am to 4pm.
Fax: Download our registration form and fax a completed form with credit card information to: 763.712.3206.
In Person: Simply visit the Main Street Stage Box Office during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. ) and turn in a completed registration form with either a check, cash or payment information.
An email confirming enrollment will be sent at the time of registration. Students will also receive a welcome e-mail prior to the beginning of your course, (approximately one week in advance), providing you with additional information, e.g., curriculum, what to expect, where to meet on the first day, what to bring, what to wear, etc. Our primary form of communication is through email. Please make sure that your email accounts accept mail from firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
All Summer Theater Workshops – 2 weeks before the first day of each workshop
PreK – no registration deadline (Fall, Winter/Spring)
Little Kids – 2 weeks before the first day of each workshop (Fall, Winter/Spring)
Big Kids – 2 weeks before the first day of each workshop (Fall, Winter/Spring)
Tweens – 2 weeks before the first day of each workshop (Fall, Winter/Spring)
Teens – no registration deadline (Fall, Winter/Spring)
Full payment is due at the time of registration. We accept checks for registrations in person and by mail. We accept credit card information (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) for registrations in person, by mail, my fax, and over the phone. We only accept cash for registrations in person. Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Please follow the link for more information and to see if you qualify.
Discounts & Packages
Lyric Arts Education Program offers the following discounts on workshop tuition:
Multi-Class Discount: Receive discount of 10% off total tuition when registering with full payment for two or more workshops together per term (terms are Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer).
PLAYtime Punchcard: Purchase a $30 PLAYtime punchcard and get 4 classes for the price of 3.
Triple Threat Tuesday Package: Register for the entire Triple Threat Tuesday series (DANCE, ACT, SING, FINALE) and save $15 off the total.
Shakespeare Studio Pass: Purchase a $75 Studio Pass and save $5 on 4 classes.
Refund and Cancellation Policies
Lyric Arts does not offer refunds on workshop tuition. Students and families may cancel a registration up to two weeks before the workshop begins, in which case the purchaser will be given a credit in our system to use toward tuition for a future workshop. No refunds or credits will be given if a registration is cancelled less than two weeks before the workshop begins.
We want all students to be satisfied with their experience at Lyric Arts. If, after the first day of class, a student decides not to continue, we will refund your tuition less a $25 registration fee. After a student has completed the second day of class, no refunds or credits will be given.
In the event that enrollment for a particular workshop is insufficient, Lyric Arts reserves the right to cancel any workshop. Minimum enrollment must be reached by the registration deadline, two weeks prior to the workshop. If a workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, all registrants will be contacted immediately and receive a full refund.
In the event that a single session of a workshop must be canceled due to instructor illness, inclement weather, etc., Lyric Arts will call each phone number provided by registrant. Calls will be made at least three hours before the session’s scheduled start time. A make-up day for the cancelled session will be scheduled.
A charge of $30 will be applied to any returned check.
Drop Off/Pick Up
Please drop off and pick up your child promptly at the side door adjacent to the parking lot. We have many different workshops, rehearsals, and performances scheduled in our spaces. No student will be left unsupervised. Any student wishing to walk or drive themselves must submit written permission to the instructor from at least one parent/guardian.
Parents Visitation Policy
We seek to create a safe space that encourages students to be creative and to build self-confidence. We have found that having parents in the room during the workshop can be distracting for all students. Because of our lobby hours and our staffing limitations, the Lyric Arts lobby is not open to the public except during performances. While waiting before a class ends you may use available seating on our second floor hallway outside the studio classroom.
Grade and Age ranges are guidelines for teaching artists to create content for each workshop as well as the overall comfort of the students, therefore the age ranges are set to maintain for the best quality of each class.
